Is it important i get a pedigree Labrador puppy or does it not matter?

Im going to be getting a lab pup soon but keep seeing a lot of cross breeds (for example one pup for sale had a father which was pedigree and the mother was lab springer cross) how important is this? is health a reason etc? thanks
