What do Americans think of Britains got Talent?

I'm thinking that the majority of US citizens would never have heard of Britain's got talent if not for the big spectacle made of Susan Boyle. I like to think that I am into different stuff a lot, but in the US people are kinda stuck up and don't think about Europe as more important than Hollywood, I think that is stupid, but it is how it is.
