Can any atheists give me advice about finding something to replace spirituality?

I am inspired by knowing how lucky I am to live now instead of 100, or 1000, or 10000000 years ago. To understand that my parents and their parents all the way back to the beginning of life were just happenstance occurences that end with me sitting here wasting time on YA...its a heady feeling. Sure its not a reason to live, but its not a reason to die either. Perhaps instead of looking for reasons to live, overlook reasons to die.
