Frequent urination in dogs?

My dog is just a year old. She is a springer spaniel very playful and active. The only problem with her is that every time i go to give her any attention she urinates even in the house. She gets nervous or excited and doesn't seem to wait til she's outside like the other dogs i've had. Is it because she doesn't know she shouldn't urinate inside or could it be a health problem?
