Not on Springer. But in 1995 a homosexual man named Scott Amedure was murdered after he professed his love for a friend named Jonathan Schmitz on The Jenny Jones Show (which has since been cancelled). Schmitz who had a long history of Mental Illness shot Amedure to death.
