What would be the best way to get an episode of jerry springer off of a directv dvr?

Would it be best to use a tv capture card or a usb capture cord for a laptop. Im thinking about the cord since its a laptop, I know that a DVD recorder is the best way to go I just honestly dont want to invest in a $200 product because I only want this one show, also my brothers went on jerry springer show so that why Im wanting it in case you were wondering.
