Why does my dog keep staring at me?

Animals, dogs and cats in particular, are very sensitive. First of all, it is possible that you have inadvertantly taught him to stare, so he's just doing it. Maybe to please or amuse you, or he wants to play the game, to interact with you. If he is looking somewhere else and staring, he may be seeing a spirit and that same spirit may be around you at times. Unless he is barking, growling or appearing to be scared or uncomfortable, I wouldn't let it bother you. If someone close to you has died, maybe that person's spirit is just "hangin' around you. Dogs are very smart and my best guess is that he likes the staring game and is just trying to get you to "join in". He sounds like a smart and funny dog who likes to play!
